Cummeragunja is situated within the Yorta Yorta nation along the Southern banks of the Murray River. The area includes Shepparton and Echuca. Cummeragunja is an old aboriginal reserve, where the historic ‘Cummeragunja walk-off’ occurred. We have been building a relationship with the Yorta Yorta nation over the past 2 years. We have been focusing our energy on running school holiday programs in Cummeragunja (which is three and a half hours north of Melbourne.) alongside the elders of the community. We visit the community 4 times a year and work closely with the elders to support the youth. We are excited about building a long term relationship with the Yorta Yorta nation over the coming years.
Our upcoming trip is from the 7th – 10th July 2014. To download an application form please click here.
