Welcome to the JAA Family 🙂

What does your role at JAA involve?

A combination of business, strategy and donor/fundraising development.

What is your relevant experience & what positions have you held in the past?

I have quite a varied professional background but started out as a corporate lawyer. Since then I have held roles in government, universities and the private sector and have gained extensive experience in the not-for-profit world. I recently completed my Masters of Law in Human Rights which is where my passion lies and what led me to Jewish Aid.

My previous positions include working as a communications and marketing adviser at an organization called E.motion21, acting as a consultant for the Jewish Museum of Australia, working at the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation, managing partnerships at Circus Oz, working as an adviser and speech writer for a Federal politician and working in public relations for the American Jewish Committee in New York.

What inspires you about JAA’s work?

I love the focus on social justice for all, and in particular the emphasis on instilling a sense of community responsibility in our young people.

What is your favourite quote?

My favourite quote is by Hillel: “If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? And if not now, when? I also love the quote: In the end these things matter most: How well did you love? How fully did you live? How deeply did you let go?

What is your favorite ‘Jewish’ food?

My favourite Jewish food would have to be chicken soup. Oh, and cheesecake.
