Outing to the Enchanted Maze

Melbourne turned on the perfect day for JAA’s outing to Arthurs Seat in the recent school holidays.

100 members of the Sudanese community, women and children, along with 25 volunteers, two 50 seater buses, loads of food and lots of sunshine. The day started bright and early with volunteers getting together for a sandwich making working bee. This was followed by meeting at Dandenong with all the excited women & children to board the buses. It was brilliant to be able to share the joy as we travelled into a new part of Victoria, listening to the cheers as we drove along the coast and checked out the view. It was so refreshing to look at this through new eyes. The day was complete with picnic, sliding down the giant slide and getting lost in the mazes. Everyone had an amazing day, summed up by one young child who declared “this was the best day ever!”

Thank you to all of you who dropped off Entertainment Book vouchers for the maze, your generosity was overwhelming.
